This week for reading We have been working on making and practising and performing plays. We were put into groups and we had to think of a thing that would go through AI in our class and be turned into a script. We had to practice quite a lot when till we were confident to perform there was about 20 plays that had to perform in front of the whole class my play was about A class with a teacher is secretly a witch in turns her naughty students into dogs my group was Aria,Nova,Dylan, John and Dylan Here are some photos below I hope you like them!.Also this is my last blog post of 2025!!

Welcome to Jelly land. It’s a world where everything is made of jelly. Doors are made out of jelly, there’s jelly burgers and many other things are all made out of jelly. Humans live in it as well as cute dogs that are made of jelly but you can’t eat them. The main fruit and source of food is from a tree the tree is green and the fruit is purple they’re round in a shape of balls and they are really yummy and sweet you can dry them for a savory taste and make fruit jerky and you can make smoothies and you can make lots of things you can squeeze them to make milk.If you boil the bark it becomes soft and you can then dry it and then you can sew it into clothes. In this world the language is similar to English but everything you say ends with LLO.

 For fun they play volleyball and Dodgeball on a bouncy castle which was made out of jelly the balls are made of hardened softened jelly. At the start of the year they are put into teams and they are the teams you stay for the whole year. There are lots of tournaments in these sports because they are the National Sports. This land is all about being brave and having fun but you can basically walk through anything and there’s not that many scary things but the people get quite scared easily. The people there are also really creative. The flag is purple and has six green stars spread out through it with a big J in the middle.

Just one problem: although the jelly carries warmth it’s getting frozen over in the winter and it’s becoming hard like normal land of Glass. The people there are getting bored and they could not play volleyball without their bouncy castle. They wonder what they can do to stop the jelly hardening up. 

Luckily the people in Jellyland have a solution they have a river which flows natural jelly that hardens when it’s built into something they decide if they put a chemical in it it will not it will stay the same Texture for at least 6 months and not Harding although this is quite hard they work together to fill the equivalent of a swimming pool now the problem is over and they don’t have to worry about this till next winter.

This week we have been learning about different Christmas traditions around the world. There are lots of different traditions around the world. I have created a Christmas tree. This is part of Christmas traditions from Germany which is where Christmas trees originally are from. What is a Christmas tradition do you celebrate?

                   Bath time 

Splish splash splosh Jelly and belly in the tub Belly blows off and makes a bubble bath!Jelly with the big belly leaves the bath in a hurry going to watch some tally.  

For literacy this week we have been reading a story called matakite and the mokai we have been doing different activities that connect to the subject like vocabulary,fluency,comprehension and sentence builders. But today we did something different my friend Freida’s mum Kristy came into our classroom and helped the year 5/6 to do a piece of weaving. Doing the weaving was calming  and it was really fun here is my finished work I hope you like it!
